The aim of this research was to analyse the actions of creation of scoring chances and their transfer to the training process in grassroots football players in their first stage of 11-a-side football. All possessions (n=12) that ended in scoring chances in U13 (n=68) and U14 (n=89) of the same team in two different seasons were analysed. An observational methodology and polar coordinates analysis were used. The results showed how the team in its second year has obtained a greater effectiveness in the creation of scoring chances compared to its first year. The u13 players tended to counter-attack, however, in their second u14 year they tended to use a combinative attack. Ending from out wide was not synonymous with the likelihood of success in converting scoring chances for either team. The use of ending from outside the pentagon will be increased in both age groups if they have space and time to execute it. In conclusion, it is important to take these results into account in order to modify the spatial variables and the number of players in the design of tasks at this training in order to facilitate the work on this content of the game.
