Comparación de la fuerza de los músculos isquiotibiales según la categoría del índice de masa corporal en bomberos

Para un bombero, tener una gran fuerza muscular y un IMC normal es fundamental para cumplir con las exigencias del trabajo y reducir el riesgo de lesiones. Determinar las diferencias en la fuerza de los músculos isquiotibiales según la categoría de IMC en bomberos. Se utilizó un estudio transversal. Los sujetos fueron 390 bomberos varones con las siguientes características edad 33,30 ± 7,13 años, masa corporal 72,68 ± 12,84 kg, altura 170,04 ± 5,05 cm, IMC 25,10 ± 4,14 kg/m2. Prueba de composición corporal con InBody 270 y prueba de altura con CAMRY HT701, prueba de fuerza muscular de los isquiotibiales con NordBord VALD. Análisis con el software SPSS versión 27. Las diferencias entre los grupos que tienen el valor significativo más denso en la fuerza del músculo isquiotibial derecho de las categorías de IMC bajo peso-normal, bajo peso-sobrepeso, bajo peso-obesidad I, bajo peso-obesidad II, normal-obesidad I, normal-obesidad II, sobrepeso-obesidad I, sobrepeso-obesidad II y obesidad I-obesidad II producen un valor p < 0.001. La fuerza del músculo isquiotibial izquierdo de la categoría de IMC bajo peso-normal valor p 0.016, normal-sobrepeso valor p 0.027, sobrepeso-obesidad I valor p 0.003, obesidad I-obesidad II valor p 0,001, bajo peso-sobrepeso, bajo peso-obesidad I, bajo peso-obesidad II, normal-obesidad I, normal-obesidad II y sobrepeso-obesidad II producen un valor p < 0.001. En general, también se observaron diferencias significativas en la fuerza de los músculos isquiotibiales derecho e izquierdo, con un valor p < 0.001 en ambos casos. Se encontraron diferencias significativas en la fuerza de los músculos isquiotibiales derecho e izquierdo entre los distintos grupos de IMC, excepto en la fuerza del músculo isquiotibial derecho entre los grupos con IMC normal y con sobrepeso. Se requiere investigación adicional, para determinar la diferencia en función de la fuerza del músculo isquiotibial por unidad de masa corporal.
