Mapeando la evolución de la investigación de mercados en la industria global del fitness: un análisis bibliométrico y temático

Este estudio tiene como objetivo mapear la evolución de la investigación de mercados en la industria global del fitness mediante un análisis bibliométrico y temático. Los datos se recopilaron de las bases de datos Scopus, ScienceDirect y PubMed, que cubren el periodo de 2015 a 2025. Se identificaron inicialmente un total de 2.462 artículos, con 1.171 artículos que cumplían los criterios de inclusión para el análisis y los 10 estudios más citados seleccionados para una revisión en profundidad. El análisis se realizó utilizando VOSviewer para examinar tendencias de publicación, patrones de autoría, contribuciones por país, dominios de investigación y desarrollos temáticos. Los resultados indican un aumento significativo y constante en la productividad investigadora, pasando de 30 publicaciones en 2015 a 230 en 2025, con más de 15.000 citas a nivel mundial. Estados Unidos, China y el Reino Unido dominan las contribuciones científicas, mientras que autores destacados como García Fernández han desempeñado un papel central en la configuración del campo. Los temas dominantes de investigación incluyen la calidad del servicio, la satisfacción del cliente, la fidelidad, las plataformas digitales de fitness y el comportamiento del consumidor. Además, los hallazgos ponen de manifiesto la creciente integración de tecnologías digitales, como las aplicaciones de fitness y las redes sociales, en las estrategias de marketing. Este estudio demuestra que la investigación de mercado en la industria del fitness ha evolucionado hasta convertirse en un campo multidisciplinar y de rápido crecimiento. También identifica oportunidades de investigación futuras, especialmente en transformación digital, experiencia del cliente e innovación de servicios impulsada por tecnología dentro del sector global del fitness.
