Menstruation is not only a biological process associated with reproductive function, but it also affects women’s physical and emotional health. In the educational field, particularly in the training and professional practice of physical education (PE) teachers, this phenomenon has been scarcely explored. This study aims to describe the menstrual experiences of PE teachers, considering their life stories as physically active women involved in the promotion of physical activity and health. The research was conducted under an interpretive paradigm, using a qualitative descriptive approach and a purposive sampling strategy, through 11 individual remote interviews with PE teachers aged between 28 and 43 years, with teaching experience ranging from four to 15 years. The information was organized into three dimensions of analysis: A) School years: family, menarche, and PE; B) Menstruation in Initial PE Teacher Training; and C) Professional integration: work life and menstruation. Data analysis and coding were performed using ATLAS.ti v9 software, generating emergent codes. The main findings highlight the experience of a healthy menarche accompanied by the need to conceal menstrual flow; the invisibility of menstrual health within a masculinized professional training environment; and the benefits of maintaining an active lifestyle, although a persistent culture of menstrual resilience and pain remains in response to productivity demands. The findings also reveal the emergence of a generation of women who challenge menstrual taboos and promote a critical perspective grounded in the importance of menstrual health
