Predictores de la condición física del rendimiento específico por habilidad y del rendimiento en competición en jugadores indios de voleibol sentado: un enfoque de análisis de regresión

El voleibol sentado es un deporte paralímpico que depende en gran medida de la condición física del tren superior para lograr un rendimiento eficaz durante la competición. Aunque este deporte está ganando popularidad en la India, existe limitada evidencia científica sobre cómo los componentes de la condición física influyen en los resultados del partido entre jugadores indios de voleibol sentado. El presente estudio tuvo como objetivo identificar los factores de condición física que mejor predicen el rendimiento específico por habilidades y el rendimiento global en el partido mediante un enfoque de análisis de regresión. La muestra estuvo compuesta por 82 jugadores masculinos de entre 18 y 35 años, seleccionados de competiciones nacionales. Se evaluaron variables como la agilidad, la velocidad y la resistencia, la velocidad hacia adelante y hacia atrás, la fuerza de prensión manual, la potencia explosiva del tren superior, la flexibilidad y la coordinación. Asimismo, se registraron acciones específicas del juego como el ataque, el bloqueo, el servicio y la defensa, junto con el rendimiento global en el partido. Los resultados mostraron que la flexibilidad presentó la relación positiva más fuerte con el rendimiento. La potencia explosiva del tren superior, la fuerza de prensión manual y la coordinación también fueron factores significativos, mientras que la agilidad y las variables relacionadas con la velocidad mostraron correlaciones negativas. El análisis de regresión indicó que estos factores predicen significativamente el rendimiento, explicando el modelo el 75% de la variación. En conclusión, la condición física es un predictor clave del rendimiento, destacando la importancia de la fuerza del tren superior, la potencia explosiva, la flexibilidad y la coordinación.
